Air Dry Clay — Terra Cotta

How to use

1. Keep the bag sealed between sessions. If the clay starts to firm up, mist it with water.
2. Build with an even thickness; thick areas dry slower and are more likely to crack.
3. Dry slowly and evenly on all sides: turn pieces over or set them on a rack, away from direct heat and sun.
4. It dries noticeably lighter and pinker than it looks while wet.
5. Once fully dry, decorate with paint.
6. Seal with shellac or a clear sealer for water resistance and extra strength.
7. Optional: kiln-fire to cone 04 for a harder, permanent piece that can then be glazed.
